The address is the first difference
Our address is a subdomain: yourname.tapmy.link. Your name comes before the brand, so the link reads as yours. Taplink uses a path: taplink.cc/yourname. Their brand comes first, which makes the link familiar to an audience that already knows the service.
Neither shape is better, and both are rented: the address lives as long as the account. If you want a domain of your own, Taplink offers custom domains on its paid plans at the time of writing. We do not offer them at all.
What each product is built for
Taplink is a small sales page. Its blocks are forms, order buttons, payment, delivery details and multi-step flows, so a visitor can choose, fill in and pay without leaving. At the time of writing there is a free Basic plan, with PRO from €3 and BUSINESS from €6 a month on annual billing; check their pricing page for today’s numbers.
Tapmy.link is a page of links. An account holds up to ten, each with its own address, template, links and statistics. Ten templates, an accent colour, a background image with adjustable darkening, list or grid layout. Blocks cover links with a note, badge or card image, social rows with real brand marks for around thirty-five platforms, messenger buttons for Telegram, WhatsApp and Viber, and embeds for YouTube, Spotify, Apple Music, SoundCloud and TikTok.
The consequences are direct. Pages render on the server, ship almost no JavaScript and work with scripts disabled. They set no cookies, so there is no cookie banner. Statistics are page views and unique visitors over 7 and 30 days; a link given a short path of its own — mia.tapmy.link/shop — passes through a redirect we serve, so its taps are counted too, cookielessly, while a link that still points straight at its destination is not counted at all. There is no checkout here at all: a page that takes money is a page Taplink can do and we cannot.
What moving costs
Moving the links is the cheap part. Paste the address of your public Taplink page; we read it and show the links we found, and you tick the ones worth keeping. An Instagram handle brings across the photo, name and bio.
The rest is worth naming plainly. Forms, orders, payment and anything on a custom domain do not come with you, because we have no equivalent. Accumulated statistics stay where they were collected. Your data exports as JSON and deleting the account really deletes it.
