The address is the first thing anyone reads
Ours is a subdomain: yourname.tapmy.link. Theirs is a path: lnk.bio/yourname. Small on paper, plain in a bio line: a subdomain puts your name in front of the brand instead of behind it. Neither is a domain you own, and we have no custom domains at all; if that is the goal, read their paid plans.
What each product is built for
Lnk.Bio is built around being unlimited and inexpensive: links are not rationed, the free plan is generous, and years of small useful options have accumulated. Tapmy.link is built around the page itself. Ten templates switch without losing content, eighty blocks is the ceiling, links carry a note, badge or card image, social rows use real brand marks, and embeds open in a new tab. Pages render on the server and still work with scripts disabled.
What we do not have is worth reading first: no payments or store, no email marketing, no booking, no custom domains, no A/B testing, no link scheduling, no mobile apps, no link analytics past the tap count itself. Ten pages is the cap. We are also much younger and much smaller, which is fair to hold against us. What we do add is narrow: 18+ links pass an age check and never appear in the page source.
About paying once
A one-off lifetime payment is a real advantage over any subscription, and pretending otherwise would be dishonest. You pay, and the invoices stop. The only counter-argument is that a free service you can export from and leave holds you no tighter. We charge nothing: one small promo block on public pages pays for it. Data comes out as JSON, and deleting the account really deletes it.
What moving costs
Less than you expect. Paste your current page address into the importer; we read it and show the links found for you to tick. An Instagram handle brings over the photo, name and bio. Leave the old page up while you compare.
Statistics are the one thing that does not travel. Counts never move between services, so you start at zero here. Ours are narrow: page views and unique visitors over seven and thirty days, counted with no cookie. A link given a short path of its own — mia.tapmy.link/shop — travels through a redirect we serve, so its taps are counted the same way, per link, over 30 days; a link that still points straight at its destination is not counted at all. Past that number there is nothing: no referrers per link, no funnels.
